The girl who couldn't run.

 Hello long standing followers. 👋 I'm sorry for the radio silence last week. I will be honest I ran once last week, so felt like I would be wasting a blog post if I posted about it, so I thought I would do a double whammy this week. So, why was there limited runs the week before? & If Saturday don't come soon.. I had tickets to see Sam Fender, someone who I absolutely idolise so I was very VERY excited to spend a Wednesday evening screaming, dancing and singing to Seventeen going Under, and of course, Hypersonic Missiles.  Naturally, I missed my lions, but.. we all need a break don't we!  Its all going to be magnificent.. I then also ended up with Elbow tickets for Lytham Festival on the Thursday, so a VERY busy week indeed! I do like Elbow, but I have never been fortunate to see them on a festival line up, back in my festival days. I know a few songs, but actually seeing them live (What a great live band!) I know a lot more than I thought! So, feeling a bit lost wit...

Sunday trail running  This week I have been quite surprised how well my body has recovered from last week's 13.1 miles. It has dawned on me now, that we will soon be in single figures on the countdown to the GNR, and the T-shirt and medal design had been released this week.  It's all beginning to get a little bit real.. So let's see how this week panned out. I was desperate to get into the gym on Monday, I just wanted the foam roller - what a godsend that thing is. It sorted me right out and I felt as fit as a fiddle on Tuesday! The weather had been very hit and miss this week, but after torrential downpours on Wednesday, I decided to have a week off a Wednesday run. I must admit, I did miss it a lot - and seeing all my weekly lions. However; I ran a half marathon. Surely I deserve a rest sometimes, right? So we went to the pub with some friends for the Wednesday pub quiz. Mr Coxy usually attends without me, but it was nice to be out on a week night. Made me feel all refres...
