12 days and counting...

Hello!  Gosh, another week has gone, I didn't do this one on Sunday because of the bank holiday.  Mr & Mrs Coxy enjoying Bank Holiday Fun. No running gear in sight! We are now 12 days away from the Great North Run. Things are getting rather exciting.  Grab a brew, let's pick up where we left off shall we? Adventure Tuesdays! Wild Women on the shoreline of Marles Wood,  warm and accomplished.   I don't usually blog about Tuesdays, but this was a fairly special one. A group of us, over summer had voiced an interest in wild swimming. Of course, this was when it was baking hot and the idea of getting in any bit of water would be much appreciated.  We had chosen 23rd August. Last week, I did say "So, are we still on for wild swimming?" we all went a bit sheepish, but, we did not back down on our word. We congregated in our group chat and sorted out logistics and such. It was only when we were in the car, that things began to get a bit real.  Wild...

You would think, that with it being the summer holidays, I would have all the time in the world to do my blog, but the reality is... I've been so incredibly busy which is why it is only now I am getting round to writing it. Even my own Mother has called me out on the lack of blogging this week.. (Sorry Mum!) However, the getting TO the run was pretty stressful this week (Thanks LCC for the horrendous road works) I got there and things instantly brightened up. It was a week of the Netflix run, but with the added challenge to look for the Jubilee signs that have been put up along the route. I won't lie, after learning that I'd missed about 8 because I was chattering, and just using all my might to get up the hill, I nipped it in the bud that Jess would definitely beat me on this challenge. (Jess was walking due to a back injury). If y...

Jambo!  (Hello in Swahili)  My position in the safari van. Have you missed me? It honestly feels so long ago since I posted a little blog - I've been on my honeymoon! I must admit, when I was restless on the plane I did regret not bringing anything to type up a blog on, but, the break really did do me good! I will do a little bit on the honeymoon - because, well, of course I didn't keep still! But, before I went on my great adventure there are 2 runs that I have not yet blogged about. I'll be honest, they feel forever ago so I shall try to remind myself. Naturally there was;  Lions Wednesday 🦁 This run was really lovely. We did some new parts of Brinscall / Wheelton that I was yet to explore (Yes, of course it was hilly) It was quite warm, but we were still able to run. I ran with Ginny and it was on this run that Wednesday Run Book Club was born! I was after some good reads to delve into whilst away and Ginny recommended some [Where the Crawdad Sings & Dais...
